How many boards do you have in your normal quiver and what are the dimensions of each?
Nate: My normal quiver for a trip would be about 5 boards. i usually bring a little bigger board, around 6’3″ or so, then have about 3 5’11″ shorty’s, and a little stumpy thing for the lay days. When i am home my quiver is a lot of shortboards but then some wide piggy things too, cause of the abundance of mush i surf.
Globe: What are the dimensions and who is the shaper of your favorite shred stick? Why is do you like it?
Nate: My Favorite would have to be a 5′ 11″ x 18 3/8″ x 2 1/8″ MBM shaped by Al Merrick himself (legendary legend). It is just an everyday short stick but it gets the job done in everything that comes your way, they are fast and loose in small stuff but then they can really draw lines when there is some juice to be had. This could all change soon though, i have been really following the trends and going a bit shorter and fatter. So we will see where that takes me.
